I had a very nice, quiet birthday. I started the day by
sleeping in, not too late, but late enough to get some extra sleep. Then I had
to wait forever for my son to get up, even after I harassed him for a bit.
Then my sister and my mom came over for a birthday supper.
We bbq'd steak, and had corn on the cob (first time I have had it bbq'd in the
husk), broccoli, and potato salad. My sister made and brought some yummy
birthday cupcakes - awesome...
After supper we had a short visit - my son wanted to play
Rock Band but had no takers. Hopefully in the not too distant future we can
have a family fun night that will include some Rock Band. Once my guests left
the skies opened up and we had a strange electrical storm, with hail and torrential
rain. It has since eased up, just lots of evil clouds now. So I am not sure if
there will be the typical 'Dan's Birthday Fireworks' that the city always
does... J
I guess I will go play some video games now and maybe some
Rock Band with my son if he still wants to. I love spending time with him,
especially on my birthday. I was very thankful for all the birthday wishes on
Facebook, and the couple of phone calls I got (my daughter and sister). Here is
to a better year, full of success and adventure!!!
