Holy shit Batman...

So much has happened over yesterday and today.

First yesterday... I went and helped a good friend in the morning, then headed home to get ready to go to a documentary screening. The documentary was, "China Heavyweight". It was actually pretty good. It was a documentary on rural teenagers in southwestern China who are recruited as their country's next Olympic hopefuls, with a focus on the coach Qi Moxiang. I wasn't expecting to like it based on the subject, but I promised I would go for the experience in film making, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was so well done, both in the quality of the photography, and also the editing. It was a great documentary, and if you get a chance to see it I highly recommend you do. The other awesome thing was that I was the only person in the entire theatre, the best way to watch a movie. Then as I was heading home I got a call from my son, he asked how long it would take me to pick him up from the 7 Eleven near crowfoot. I told him I was nowhere near there, then he explained he was running for the bus and took a hard fall on the road and that his face was gushing blood and he couldn't stop it. I hauled ass there. I guess he actually made it to the bus, but the driver wouldn't let him on because he was bleeding so badly. Supposedly the driver called his supervisor and was told he couldn't wait he had to keep moving - I am very pissed off about this. So instead my son had to walk to the 7 Eleven, and the nice people there helped him until I arrived. He was still bleeding when I got there, but was cleaned up thanks to the 7 Eleven staff. So I took him to the Children's Hospital, as it's the closest hospital to where we were. And it was packed!!! We got there around 10pm and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Eventually we got in to see the doctor. So my son took a huge chunk out of his flesh just under his chin, scraped up his left knee, and really bruised his left pinky. He required 7 stitches to close the chin injury, and the x-ray of his finger showed no signs of a break (thank goodness)... It was gross and fun to watch the doc sew up his face. We finally got out of the hospital at 4am. Ugh

So today the poor boy is all battle scarred, tired, and sore. I am to watch him for the next couple of days to make sure no other injuries show themselves. I was exhausted, but still managed to get up and go for my rTMS treatment for 11am this morning. Well what I did was get up, skip breakfast, skip pills, and head straight to the treatment, then home and right back to bed (with the help of a half of a Zopiclone I had a twoish hour nap). The rest of the day is kind of a sleepy blur... But I did manage to get to the second documentary this evening. It's called "Indie Game: The Movie". It follows the dramatic journeys of indie game developers as they create games and release those works, and themselves, to the world. Although I found the subject more interesting, I didn't think the doc was shot as well as the other, and the editing wasn't that great. I didn't find it as compelling as the other doc either, China Heavyweight had more drama, more substance. But it was a good learning opportunity. Both documentaries were simulcast live from Toronto, across Canada to 40 other cities, and had a question answer period after each show, which was very interesting as well.

Now I am going to curl up on the couch and watch a couple of PVR'd shows before heading to bed. I am so very tired, but not sleepy. Ugh

I should mention my MOOD is holding up tremendously, considering the last couple of days. No suicidal stuff and no darkness. I love getting two treatments per week. Sadly next week may be the last of the two per week. I didn't get to talk to my pdoc today, but they were talking about this week being the last, but the nurse/doctor that usually does my treatments booked me anyway... J It will suck if we go back down to once per week, and the positive results diminish, but the reality is we can't do twice per week forever, and I am pretty sure they are aiming for one every two to four weeks. Perhaps one day that will work. I guess we will see...

Talk to y'all tomorrow...
